Overview
A fume hood is a specialized ventilated workspace designed in laboratories to capture, contain, and exhaust toxic fumes, hazardous vapors, gases, and dust. Airflow suction: An exhaust fan pulls air from the laboratory into the enclosure and pushes it safely outside the building. Movable sash: A glass or Acrylic sliding window (the sash) acts as a physical shield between your face/body and the chemical reaction. • Baffles: Slotted interior panels keep the airflow moving evenly across the workspace.
